US New Homebuyers Tax Credit Time Running Out Quickly
Right now first-time homebuyers have the opportunity to purchase a home and receive a credit on their tax return.
Hopefully, if you want to do this, you’re already working with a licensed realtor in your state or will begin working with one within the next two weeks in order to find a home you wish to purchase, go through the entire process and go to closing. This process is taking longer than ever, so allow at least 40-45 days from the time your offer is accepted by a home seller. In some states, this time line might even take more than 45 days.
To see if this particular situation applies to your household, talk to a Certified Public Accountant or a tax law attorney for the exact specifics as they might apply to your situation.
